Austin and Rebecca officially met at a Christmas cookie party hosted by the wonderful Taylor Marie Brady. Rebecca was deep in nursing school prep and only came because Taylor insisted, on the condition she could be anti-social and sit at the kitchen table to finish her work. Rebecca met a flurry of people that night and promptly forgot everyone’s name. Austin, the cook that he is, stood by the stove browning butter for a recipe while the rest of the room made cookies; Rebecca mostly kept to herself. A few days later Taylor mentioned Austin and, after her description, Rebecca realized she meant “butter boy” — the nickname stuck. The rest is history, and Rebecca will never want for browned butter again.

Christmas Village in Philadelphia will transform LOVE Park and City Hall’s Courtyard and North Broad section into an authentic German Christmas Market. The event is at no charge to attend. Over 120 vendors offer their unique Christmas-giftware and delicious European food specialties! Always a must-see: the famous German vendor Käthe Wohlfahrt, which features authentic German ornaments and Christmas gifts.

Independence Hall is located on Chestnut Street, between 5th and 6th Streets. Entrance is through a security screening area on the south side of Independence Hall. Visitors can access the security entrance using the stairs or accessibility ramp on 5th Street, between Chestnut and Walnut Streets. After passing through security, visitors line up behind Independence Hall for a tour. The GPS address for Independence Hall is 520 Chestnut Street.
